Greetings

It has been 6 years since we started this meaningful movement for informing, promoting and emphasizing the sovereign right of possession of Dokdo island and the legitimacy of co-naming of East Sea and Japan Sea according to the historical facts.

DEWO (Dokdo Eastsea World Organization) was founded in 2013, Since then, it has been supporting the petition drive for East Sea troops, lobbying for mainstream social politicians, hosting academic seminars and forums, involving local school districts and public high school social science teachers and sponsoring other enlightenment activities. It is always DEWO's task to find a methodology that inspires the public, especially young people who are growing up, with a pleasant and exciting event, a little off the political and educational activities of the past.

History is important because history does not end with the story of the past, it leads to the present, it defines the place of my life today and it leads to the future and affects the identity of the life of our descendants.

Achieving tangible progress in this movement; we did a successful “2018 Dokdo Festival” with around 300 middle school and high school students in Chicago land area last year. It was really a tremendous successful event! We are taking great pride on this event. We are planning this kind of event every year until we can achieve our objectives.

It was a meaningful event in which DEWO took leaps toward becoming a well-known organization by successfully hosting the memorable event. It couldn’t be accomplished without devoted efforts and supports of DEWO staffs and directors, and specially without strong supports of Chicago Forum members. I do really appreciate their sincere patronage and supports.

By keep doing this movement, I do hope our wishes will come true in the future, and I always need your continuous strong supports and cooperation…. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the visitors of this website!
